As an EMA Scribe, you will accompany our physicians as they diagnose and treat patients with a wide variety of illnesses and injuries in a local area Emergency Department. Your job will be to assist them to be more productive by performing essential non-patient care related tasks.

As the name implies, the core function of a Scribe is to document the Patient Encounter Record ("write-up the chart" in medical lingo). In addition, Scribes perform other helpful tasks such as placing telephone calls to consultants and locating missing elements of the diagnostic database (such as lab tests and X-rays).
