Emergency Departments
Maryland and Virginia
EMA,
a well-established group, has been providing Emergency Department
staffing at Montgomery General Hospital since 1971. The hospital
gives state-of the art medical care in a rapidly growing suburban
setting. Montgomery General Hospital is a community owned and managed
hospital that has numerous close affiliations with the region's
top academic medical centers. It offers the best of both worlds
in both work and living-a small town feel with big city resources
just a few minutes away. The planned completion of entirely new
ED is scheduled for 2008.

Prince
William Hospital is a suburban hospital located approximately one
hour southwest of Washington, DC and serves a population of approximately
122,000. EMA has provided Emergency Department Staffing at this
facility since 1987, 24-hour Pediatric coverage since 1994, and
clinical staffing for the hospital's Occupational Health Services

In
July 2005, Prince William Hospital opened its new state-of-the-art
41,205 square foot Emergency Department - which is more than three
times the size of the previous ED. The new ED is designed to treat
70,000 patients annually. The ED features a total of 45 treatment
rooms and includes an expanded triage section and three distinct
care areas-the Main ED section accommodates acute care and psychiatric
patients; the quickER treats minor illnesses and injuries; and the
ERjr attends children. These three distinct sections improve patient
flow and help clinicians effectively diagnose and treat patients.
Prince William Hospital's ED also features wireless registration,
separate waiting rooms for each ED section, and comfortably furnished
quiet rooms for the physicians to meet the patients' family members.
In addition to the ERjr, EMA also staffs the Pediatric Unit in the
hospital. This unit is has 14 beds. Patients admitted by the ERjr
are covered by the Pediatricians in the ED.

growing counties in Maryland. EMA has provided Emergency Department
staffing at this facility since 1996. In February 2004, the hospital
opened its new state-of-the-art 41 bed ED, which is currently seeing
approximately 50,000 patients per year. The ED features two "advanced"
triage rooms and three patient care areas: a "main side"

Track" area treats minor illnesses and injuries; and there
is a separate pediatric "corridor" where children are
treated. There is pediatric coverage in the Department by Board
Certified pediatricians forty hours per week. There is full time
in-house pediatric, anesthesiology and OBGYN coverage by Board Certified
