Royce Burns, M.D., Emergency Medicine, was recognized as the Ceca Caregiver of the Month for April 2017.
I would like to recognize Dr. Burns for the outstanding care of my husband. I have to say from the start of our visit the care and customer service we received was top notch. From the young lady at the intake desk, to the nurses who conducted the eval, continuing once inside the ER. We witnessed professionalism, compassion, a commitment to delivery top service in additional to a passion for serving others.
Additional patient compliments received:
· Dr. Burns was very kind, quite knowledgeable, seemed in charge and in control with his advice. I was very pleased and I will come back to Doctors Community Hospital.
· Dr. Burns provided magnificent care and I want everyone to know that the staff at the Rehabilitation Center and Dr. Burns (who started her care) helped my mother to get where she is today. She is now walking with a walker, her meds are regulated and her health has improved tremendously.
· Dr. Burns has given the best care. He took very good care of me.
Ceca Recognition and Reward Program
Doctors Community Hospital was selected to pilot the Ceca Foundation’s “Celebrating Caregivers” program. Its goal is to recognize and reward exceptional employees who exceed patients’ expectations.
Here’s how it works:
+ Hospital caregivers and staff will nominate co-workers through Ceca’s online peer-to-peer software system.
+ Nominations will be posted in the software system with profiles displayed on monitors placed in the Good Luck Café and west entrance hallway.
+ A panel of judges (e.g. representatives from Human Resources, Ceca Foundation and the community) will identify winners monthly based on empathy, humor, integrity, professionalism, and teamwork criteria.Read More

We have achieved this by ensuring everyone has access to all levels of management, including myself. I am particularly proud that we have maintained this atmosphere through a period of significant growth.”
“CEOs tell us the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award is one of the highest honors they can receive because it truly reflects employee opinion about the job they do every day. I congratulate all of the winners on this significant honor,” said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor co-founder and CEO. “We know that CEO approval ratings correlate to overall employee satisfaction and trust in senior leadership, which contributes to long-term employee engagement, ultimately helping an employer’s recruiting and retention efforts.”
When employees submit reviews about their company on Glassdoor, they are asked to rate various factors about their employment experience, including their overall satisfaction and other workplace attributes like senior management. As part of these ratings, employees are also asked to rate whether they approve, disapprove or are neutral about the job their CEO is doing.
